During the 2014 recession in Italy, approximately 53 factories closed down every day. The Prysmian factory in Ascoli Piceno was one of them.
120 workers lost their job but just 30 accepted a relocation to a different plant. Half of them is in the Merlino factory, in the industrial North of Italy. The workers moved 500 km away from home leaving their people and their land to begin a new, unwanted chapter of their lives.
